Webinar funnel 2026: auto-webinar and evergreen without burnout

How to build a webinar funnel in 2026 that sells without live broadcasts every week: webinar structure, profitability, warm-up in email and Telegram, auto-webinar and evergreen. With benchmarks for profitability and conversion to purchase.

Article cover:Webinar funnel 2026: auto-webinar and evergreen without burnout

The main mistake with a webinar funnel is to think that it is about a webinar. For nine years in digital, I’ve been watching how founders prepare slides, rehearse a speech, hire a broadcast director, and then out of 500 registered people, 80 come to the broadcast and three buy. The funnel does not live on the air. She lives on warming up and profitability. Ether is just a screen on which the result of all the work before it is displayed.

This article is about specific mechanics. How many people actually reach the webinar, why a chain of reminders is more important than slides, how the selling broadcast works in blocks, where the conversion is higher - on a live webinar, on an auto webinar or on evergreen, and how to shoot one strong webinar and run it for months without burning out every week. The numbers are ranges from the funnels that I collected, not the average temperature for the market.

If you haven’t yet laid out the general mechanics of attraction, start with the basics - how build a sales funnel. The webinar is one of her scripts, not a separate universe.

The webinar does not sell. The chain around him sells. The broadcast itself is 20 minutes of offer, wrapped in two weeks of warm-up and a week of boost.

1. Revenue is everything, not broadcast content

We think honestly. 500 people registered. How long will it take to get to the start? On the funnels that I collected, without heating - 10-15%. With a normal chain of reminders - 25-40%. The difference is three times, and it’s all in letters and messages, and not in the quality of slides.

Why so? The person registered impulsively, on Monday, and the webinar was on Thursday. By Thursday, he had forgotten he had registered. He has work, children, and other 14 tabs. If during this time you haven’t reminded yourself 4-6 times, he won’t come. Not because I changed my mind. I just forgot.

That's why I don't touch the slides until the chain is assembled. A minimum set of touches: a confirmation letter immediately after registration, one or two useful warm-up contacts, a reminder a day, an hour, 10 minutes before the start. The same thing is duplicated in the Telegram bot - there the profitability is higher, because the push comes to the phone screen. Reminder bots are a separate topic, I discussed it in an article about marketing through Telegram bots.

2. Warming up in email and Telegram - the engine of the funnel

There are two types of warm-up, and they are confused. The first is warming up before registration, so that a person wants to come at all. The second is warming up between registration and broadcast, so that it reaches and arrives already warm. Both are needed, but the second is more critical: it loses the most people.

Email and Telegram work in pairs, not instead of each other. Email carries long content, stories, cases, rationale for the offer. The Telegram bot delivers short push notifications and reminders that actually get clicked on. On one of the EdTech funnels, I kept 5 emails and 4 messages in the bot from registration to start - the yield was about 35% on cold traffic. Remove the bot - it dropped to 22%.

I looked deeper into the mechanics of email warming up in an article about email marketing in Russia. For a webinar, the logic is the same, only the cycle is compressed into days, not weeks, and the ending is strictly tied to the broadcast date.

The table below shows how my chain is usually laid out according to profitability. The numbers are ranges and depend on the niche and temperature of the traffic.

Funnel stageMetricaNormal (range)
Registration landing pageCR visitor → registration15-35%
ConfirmationOpen rate of confirmation email50-70%
Registration → broadcastAccess to the start25-40%
Start → holdScreening to the block with the offer40-60%
Ether → applicationCR reviewed → application8-20%
Application → paymentCR order → purchase (with boost)25-45%

3. Structure of a selling webinar: five blocks

Selling broadcast is not a lecture or a pitch. These are five blocks in strict order: content, pain, solution, offer, deadline. If you break the order, the sale will fall apart.

  • Content. Real benefits that a person will take away even if he doesn’t buy anything. 70-80% of the time. If there is no content, you don’t have to sell it further.
  • Pain. You show that without a system this benefit does not scale, and a person will hit the ceiling. This is where the need is born.
  • Solution. A logical bridge from pain to product. Not “buy the course,” but “here’s the method that closes the gap.”
  • Offer. Specifically: what’s inside, how much it costs, what a person will receive. Without filler and without ten dummy bonuses.
  • Deadline. The real limitation is in time, in places, in price. Without it, people leave to “think” and don’t come back.

The main mistake here is to start selling from the third minute. The audience has not yet received the benefit, there is no trust, and the entire audience closes the tab. The second mistake is a fake deadline. If a person has seen “3 places left” three broadcasts in a row, he stops believing. The deadline must be real, otherwise it works against you.

4. Live vs. auto-webinar vs. evergreen

Three formats, three different trade-offs between conversion and scale. The choice depends not on fashion, but on what you are in short supply - speaker or traffic.

Live broadcast - maximum conversion. A person feels the event, asks questions, sees the speaker’s reaction. But it does not scale: each launch means gathering an audience again for a specific date and going on air again. The speaker burns out after a couple of months of weekly webinars.

An auto-webinar is a recording that plays according to a schedule and pretends to be live. Preserves the feeling of the event, because there is a specific start time, and at the same time scales. The conversion is slightly lower than live, but the gap is small if the recording is shot well.

Evergreen is a recording that starts immediately after registration, at any time. The scale is infinite, a person watches when it is convenient. You pay for it with conversion: there is no crowd effect and no live question, so inspection and sales are lower. But the funnel works 24/7 without your participation.

FormatConversion to purchaseLabor costs for launchScale
Live broadcastHigh (base - 100%)High, every time againLow
Autowebinar85-95% of liveOne-time, then autopilotHigh
Evergreen60-80% of liveOne-time, minimum supportVery tall

I almost always lead the client to the “one live broadcast → auto-webinar” scheme. First, you play live, catch questions and objections from the audience, and finalize your offer. When the live conversion has stabilized, you shoot a clean version and put it on autopilot. So live broadcast becomes not an eternal obligation, but a one-time shooting of a standard.

5. Platforms for webinars in Russia 2026

No exotics. For live broadcasts and autowebinars in the Russian Federation, the working short list is: Bizon365, Mcast, Webinar.ru and the GetCourse webinar module. Bizon365 is taken for auto-webinars and a link with mailings, GetCourse - when the whole school already lives inside it, Mcast and Webinar.ru - for stable broadcasting in large halls.

For evergreen, they often do without a webinar platform at all: a landing page, a video player with protection against rewinding, and a timer for the offer. The main selection criterion is not “who has a more beautiful interface”, but where your CRM, payment and mailings are already located. A platform that doesn’t work well with your application system will waste more time than it saves. If you work in EdTech, I discussed the general specifics of the stack in an article about Marketing in EdTech.

6. How to film one webinar and broadcast it without burning out

The most common pain point of a founder-speaker is weekly broadcast. After two months, a person hates his own webinar, speaks automatically, and the conversion creeps down along with the energy. This is treated not by willpower, but by transferring it into writing.

The algorithm is simple. You conduct a live webinar 3-5 times until the structure settles down and the conversion reaches a plateau. You record the best run in normal quality. With editing you cut out slacks, pauses, “uhs” and moments where you corrected yourself. You install it on an auto-webinar platform according to a schedule or do Evergreen with launch from registration. Once a quarter you rewrite the offer block and update the numbers - this is enough so that the record does not smell like last year.

What definitely needs to be built in here is a lead magnet at the entrance, so that a person leaves a contact before the broadcast, and not just during it. Then even those who did not make it to the webinar remain in the database for additional pressure. I wrote separately about the lead magnets themselves for such a funnel - how to make lead magnets, which bring not “subscribers for the sake of PDF”, but people who are ready to go on air.

7. We’ll squeeze in after the broadcast - where half of the sales are hidden

Immediately after the broadcast, a minority of those who buy at all buy. In the funnels that I led, 30-50% of all launch sales come in on the day of the webinar. The rest will be completed in the next 3-5 days. If there is no booster chain, you leave half the proceeds on the table.

Dozhim is not “buy again” in a circle. These are different letters for different reasons for refusal. If you don’t get to the broadcast, you give me a recording with a timer. If you get there, but don’t buy it, you remove the specific objection: it’s expensive, you don’t have time, you doubt the result. And everywhere there is a live offer deadline, after which the price or bonuses really disappear. Without a deadline, the squeeze turns into spam, which two people finish reading.

Conclusion

A webinar funnel is not a webinar. These are landing, warming up, reachability, broadcasting and boosting, where broadcasting itself is only one link out of five. The profitability of 25-40% is driven by the chain of reminders in email and Telegram, and not by the quality of the slides. The structure of the broadcast is content, pain, solution, offer, deadline. Live gives maximum conversion, auto-webinar and evergreen - scale without burnout. The working scheme is almost always the same: film one strong live webinar and broadcast it in a recording, updating the offer once a quarter.
