YandexGPT

YandexGPT is a language model developed by Yandex. Integrated into the Alice voice assistant, into the Direct advertising account (auto-generated ads), into Yandex Metrica (anomaly detection) and into the API for corporate developers via Yandex Cloud.

In projects with Russian clients, I turn to YandexGPT specifically for tasks where maximum competence in the Russian market is needed: analysis of domestic sites, working with Unified State Exam content, understanding the specifics of Russian-language SEO. The model better understands the nuances of “Yandex-specific” content - which is logical, considering where the training data came from.

For a marketer, the most practical case is the automatic generation of ads in Yandex Direct. Direct uses built-in YandexGPT to suggest headlines and texts based on the landing page. The quality is not bad for a quick start, but I always edit manually: the model is prone to general formulations and loses USP. The second case is the summarization of search queries in Metrica through new AI functions.
