Virality
Virality is the organic distribution of content by users without an advertising budget.
Virality is the ability of content to spread organically: users themselves forward it to friends, bookmark it, and repost it. The viral effect, by definition, does not require an advertising budget - the audience works as a distribution channel.
Virality mechanics in Telegram: repost to personal correspondence > repost to another channel > reactions. Forwards to chats are the most powerful signal for the recommendation algorithm. On VK: repost to the wall and in messages, save to “Bookmarks”. In both cases, the emotional trigger is the key: content that is angry, funny, surprising, or provides immediate practical benefit sells faster than neutral content.
Viral Coefficient (K) = average number of shares per post ÷ total reach. If K > 1, the content spreads with acceleration, the audience grows exponentially. Practice shows that in niche Telegram channels K > 0.3 is already a good result.
Virality cannot be programmed 100%, but you can increase the likelihood: a clear headline with a number or provocation, a “save it for yourself” format, a “was/has become” comparison, a recognizable situation for the target audience. I always set 1-2 viral posts per month as a deliberate experiment, not as an accident.
