Cursor

Cursor AI · Cursor IDE · AI code editor

Cursor is a code editor with built-in Claude/GPT that allows marketers to write automation without development experience.

Cursor is an IDE (code editor) with a built-in AI assistant based on Claude and GPT-4. You open a project, describe the task in natural language, and the model edits the code directly in the files, taking into account the entire context of the project. It's not just a chatbot in the sidebar - it's AI that sees the entire codebase.

I use Cursor to write automation scripts, API integrations, and small web tools. Previously, for the task “make a script that parses a table from Google Sheets and sends it to Telegram,” I went to a developer. Now I open Cursor, describe the task, and 20 minutes later I have a working script. For marketers with a basic understanding of Python, this changes the speed of implementation of ideas radically.

Cursor vs Claude Code: Cursor is a GUI interface, more convenient for those who are not used to the terminal. Claude Code (which I also actively use) is a terminal tool, better for complex refactorings and working with large code bases. For simple automation tasks, Cursor is faster and clearer.
