MCP
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard by which AI tools connect to external systems: CRM, databases, API. "USB port" for agents.
MCP - Model Context Protocol, an open standard from Anthropic for connecting AI to external systems. Previously, each integration was done manually and in its own way; MCP made a single connector out of this - something like USB for agents.
What does this give to a marketer? Through MCP servers, the agent gets access to your tools: CRM, Google spreadsheets, advertising accounts, knowledge base. Not “AI in a vacuum,” but AI that sees your real data and can work with it.
In practice, this turns Claude Code and similar tools from a “smart chat” into a workstation: one agent, via MCP, accesses the repository, analytics, and CRM.
