Positioning map

Describe the market and the players - get an analysis along the axes: who stands where, which squares are tightly occupied and which are free, and what it costs to occupy a free one.

Briefly

A free cell on the positioning map is free for one of two reasons: no one has occupied it or no one needs it. The tool lays out the players along the axes, shows densely occupied zones and empty ones, and for each empty one it honestly analyzes what exactly you will have to prove to the market if you go there.

AI answers are free, but limited by the overall site limit. If the limit is reached, come back later: repeated clicks will not speed up the response.

Fill in: what is the market and your product?, market players

An empty cell is empty for two different reasons.

The positioning map is useful for exactly one thing: it shows you where you will be visible. If you stand in the same place as seven other players, the client chooses based on price, because he sees no other differences. If you stand alone, he has a reason to compare more than just the price tag.

But there are always two possible reasons for an empty cell, and distinguishing between them is more important than finding the cell itself. Either no one got there, and this is your chance. Or they’ve already tried it there and left because there’s no demand. The first brings the market, the second eats up the year.

Therefore, for each free zone, the analysis says what exactly you will have to prove to the market and how to test it cheaply before rebuilding the product and website for it.

Axles are selected according to the market, and not taken from a textbook. The pair “expensive-cheap versus high-quality-low-quality” is useless almost everywhere: according to it, all players stand in one corner, because no one declares themselves to be expensive and low-quality.

What the tool intentionally doesn't do

Does not insert numbers, deadlines, benchmarks and names of companies that did not exist in your input. If the output requires a number that you did not provide, in the answer will be marked “to clarify” rather than a plausible number. This limitation is worth in the system prompt and works against the main property of language models: It’s difficult to complete what’s missing.

The request text is sent to the AI provider, and the response is returned to the browser. The site does not save these texts in the database. To limit expenses separately the number of requests and the anonymized connection identifier are taken into account. If the free limit is reached, the tool will offer to come back later.

Questions

How many competitors should you list?
From three, five to seven is better. With two players, the map degenerates into a comparison, and dense zones are not visible. Enough for a line per player: who it is and what it takes.
Why are there no market shares and revenues?
Because there is nowhere to get them, and a plausible figure in a strategic document is especially dangerous: it is then referred to. The map shows the arrangement and free zones, and the volumes are calculated according to their data and open statistics.
How is this different from detuning from a competitor?
Tuning compares you to one player and looks for differences. The card looks at the entire field and searches for a location. Usually they first build a map to choose a position, and then build on whoever is closest to it.
