Lead Nurturing
Lead Nurturing is the systematic “warming up” of cold leads through a series of useful touches until they are ready to buy.
Lead Nurturing is working with leads who are not yet ready to buy. Statistically, 79% of leads never convert into sales simply because companies abandon them after the first touch. Nurturing solves this: with a system of touches, you remain in the lead’s field of view until their “moment of purchase.”
In my practice, a good nurturing flow consists of 6-12 touches spread over 4-8 weeks. Not everything is email: I combine letters, retargeting, WhatsApp/Telegram messages depending on the channel where the lead found you. The key rule: each touch should provide value in itself, and not be “just a reminder.”
Benchmarks from the Russian market 2026: for B2B SaaS products, leads from a nurturing stream are converted 47% of the time better than leads without nurturing, but the transaction cycle is 23% shorter. In EdTech, networking with a series of 8 emails increases payment conversion from 4.2% to 9.7% for cohorts of my projects.
The main metric of networking is not the open rate, but the lead-to-opportunity rate: how many “warmed-up” leads turned into qualified sales opportunities. If the open rate is 40%, but the conversion into a deal does not grow, the northing content does not solve the real objections of the lead.
