Competitive Analysis
Competitive analysis - a systematic analysis of competitors: product, prices, channels, creatives, positioning. We look for unoccupied niches, we don’t copy.
Competitive analysis - a systematic analysis of competitors: product, prices, channels, creatives, positioning, reviews. The goal is not to “see what others are doing,” but to find what the market is doing the same way—and to say differently.
I do it not just once, but in layers. Direct competitors (same solution for the same audience), indirect (different solution to the same pain), their advertising offices through creative libraries, their search results, their reviews on Yandex.Maps. Reviews from competitors are an undervalued source: there, clients directly tell you what they are missing.
The main mistake is to turn analysis into copying. If all your competitors are screaming “discounts,” another discount won’t make you stand out. The value of competitive analysis is the opposite: to see unoccupied territory and take it before it is occupied.
