Brandbook

brand book · brand book · brand guideline · brand guidelines

Brand book is a document with brand rules: logo, colors, fonts, Tone of Voice, examples of “dos/don’ts.” So that five contractors do as one.

Brand book is a document with brand rules. In the minimal version: the logo and its security field, colors, fonts, Tone of Voice, examples of “this is possible and this is not possible.” The extended version adds branded graphics, rules for social networks, and templates.

The meaning of a brand book is visible not when the content is created by one person, but when contractors are involved. Designer, SMM specialist, targetologist, printing house - without a brand book, everyone interprets the brand in their own way, and after six months the brand “spreads”. With a brand book, five performers produce results as if they were working alone.

A brand book does not have to be 100 pages long. For a small business, a working option is 5–10 pages that really open up the task. A thick, beautiful brand book that no one reads is more useless than a short, but lively one.
