End-to-end analytics 2026: Roistat vs Calltouch vs PostHog vs self-collection
I compare end-to-end analytics systems in 2026: Roistat, Calltouch, PostHog and self-assembly on n8n. The cost that is associated (click, lead, transaction, revenue), complexity of implementation. Who needs call tracking, and who needs full-fledged end-to-end.

End-to-end analytics is not a dashboard. This is one chain glued together: advertising click, lead, deal, revenue. If even one link breaks, you didn’t implement analytics, but painted a beautiful picture that cannot be trusted. Below I analyze four options for the connection - Roistat, Calltouch, PostHog and self-assembly on n8n - by price, by what they actually connect, by complexity and for whom. And separately: when call tracking is enough, and when it’s time to go full end-to-end.
Over the course of 9 years in digital, I implemented this thing eight times - in gaming, in medtech, in e-com with an average bill of 4K ₽. Half of the projects started up normally. The second half was stuck on the same thing: managers did not enter data into CRM, and dirty UTMs lay on the traffic. What I’m writing below is not a theory from the vendor’s landing page, but what I see with my hands: where the system is lying, where the money is, and what four changes to make before buying a subscription.
End-to-end analytics do not show the truth. It shows what managers have contributed to the CRM. If there is no data, the system will not invent it, it will color it.
1. What should an end-to-end connect?
The basic chain is four points. Click in the advertising account. Lead in CRM. Transaction with status and amount. Revenue after deduction of returns. End-to-end analytics stitches them into one line: “campaign X in YAN → 40 leads → 6 deals → 720K ₽ revenue → ROAS 4.1.” Without this connection, you have a separate Direct with its clicks, a separate CRM with its transactions, and no one knows which campaign brought in the money.
The gluing is based on two identifiers. For online applications, this is the client_id from Metrica or GA, which is inserted into a hidden form field and reaches the CRM. For calls, this is a substitute call tracking number associated with the visit. All. If the client_id does not reach the transaction, and the number is not replaced, there is nothing to connect; all that remains is to guess by UTM “by eye”. I discussed how to lay out UTMs so that they arrive in an article about UTM scheme.
2. When call tracking is enough, and when you need full
Call tracking is the first third of the journey. He brings the source to the call and says, “this call is from Campaign Y.” Then there is silence: call tracking doesn’t know whether the client bought it or not, for how much. And this is enough for a lot of businesses. If you have services, requests come through calls, and you only need to check “which channel gives the most calls” - you take call tracking and don’t overpay.
Full end-to-end is needed when there is a long funnel with different economics between the lead and the money. Someone bought for 50K, someone for 500K, the transaction cycle is three weeks, there are five channels. Here the “number of calls” is a lie: a channel with cheap calls can bring in small checks, while an expensive one can bring in large transactions. Without revenue as a denominator, you are optimizing in the wrong place. About the touch gluing models themselves - in the article about attribution models.
My working threshold is an advertising budget of 300–500K rubles per month. Below this, the benefit of shifting budget between channels simply does not justify the cost of the system and the hours of maintaining it. The example is simple. Budget 200K, the system eats up 25K per month plus your time. To make a difference, redistribution must increase the return by 15 percent - and with such a volume of data, you cannot even distinguish this 15% from noise. At 500K the same optimization is already a living 75K, and it makes sense to count.
3. Roistat - box for RF stack
Roistat is the most “out of the box” option for the Russian market. Pros: ready-made integrations with Direct, VK, amoCRM, Bitrix24, your own call tracking, dashboards without code. Installed it, connected the sources, mark the UTM according to their scheme - and after a couple of weeks you see the click-deal-revenue link. For a marketer without an analyst nearby, this is the shortest path to working end-to-end.
The downside is that the price increases as it grows, tariffs are based on visits, and you are locked into their ecosystem. When the logic of the report diverges from the way Roistat calculates attribution, there is no use arguing with the box - you take it as it is. And one more thing: Roistat will honestly show holes in your data. If CRM is misguided, a beautiful interface will not fix it; it will highlight that 40% of transactions are without a source. By the way, I discussed the connection with CRM separately in the article about CRM marketing on amoCRM and Bitrix.
4. Calltouch - strong call tracking, which has grown to end-to-end
Calltouch has historically grown out of call tracking and is still the strongest on this list when it comes to calls. Dynamic substitution of numbers, recording and tagging of calls, anti-fraud, predicting the quality of a lead based on a conversation. If you have a business where 70% of requests are calls (medical centers, real estate, cars, services), Calltouch solves the main problem better than the universal Roistat.
It also has an end-to-end part - integration with CRM, reports before the transaction and revenue. But if your requests are mainly online forms and chats, and there are few calls, you are overpaying for a call tracking engine that you do not use. Calltouch – selection “from the call”, Roistat – selection “from the advertising account”. Details on number spoofing and call attribution are in the article about call tracking.
5. PostHog - for product teams, not for lead gen
PostHog is a different beast. It’s about product analytics: events, funnels inside a product, session replay, feature flags, behavioral cohorts. If you have a SaaS or application where conversion is not a call, but an action within the product (registration, activation, subscription payment), PostHog sees all this natively. It answers the question “what the user does after clicking”, and not just “which campaign they came from”.
But for the classic RF lead-gen with calls and transactions in amoCRM PostHog - bypassed. There is no call tracking, there are no ready-made integrations with Direct and VK, the connection with CRM and revenue must be built manually through the API. But it is open-source, there is a generous free tariff in the cloud and self-hosted without a ceiling in terms of volume. I take PostHog to where the product and developers are; never into pure service performance.
6. Self-collection on n8n - cheap in subscription, expensive in time
Self-assembly is when you do not buy a box, but assemble the chain yourself. Webhooks from advertising offices and CRM arrive in n8n, there they are glued together by client_id and phone number, enriched with the transaction amount and uploaded to the dashboard. By subscription, it's pennies: n8n itself can be upgraded for free, processing costs infrastructure. On budgets where Roistat asks for 40K per month, self-assembly saves almost all of this.
The ambush is somewhere else. You pay with time. Primary assembly takes tens of hours. Then the advertising account API changes, the webhook format goes away, the node crashes at three in the morning - and it’s up to you to fix it, not the vendor’s support. Self-assembly makes sense when there is a person inside who leads this pipeline. Without such a person, you will get an end-to-end system that works until it is touched, and silently lies after the first failure. I usually collect a ready-made revenue dashboard in DataLens on top of such unloading.
7. Comparison: what to choose for your case
Price figures are realistic ranges for mid-2026, depending on the tariff, volume of visits and number of replacement numbers. This is a guideline for estimation, not the price from the contract.
| Parameter | Roistat | Calltouch | PostHog | Self-assembly n8n |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price, ₽/month | 12–50K | from 8K + numbers | 0 – ~20K | 0–3K + hours |
| What connects | click → deal → revenue | call → deal → revenue | click → event in product | everything you set up |
| Call tracking | own, average | strongest | no | connect separately |
| Implementation | 1–2 weeks, no code | 1–2 weeks | developer needed | weeks + support |
| To whom | performance on services/e-com | business on calls | SaaS and applications | have your own analyst |
Brief selection logic. Applications by calls - Calltouch. Performance on services or e-com and you need a box without an analyst - Roistat. A product with actions inside and developers nearby - PostHog. The subscription budget is tight, but there is a person for support - self-collection. I almost never take these options in their pure form: for gaming there was a Calltouch bundle for calls plus self-assembly for online, because not a single box covered both legs at once.
8. Typical implementation failures
The main failure is not in the choice of system. It is in the data on which the system operates. On two of the four stuck projects, we chose the correct box - and still got up. The reasons are repeated.
Managers do not enter data. The deal is closed, but the “source”, “amount”, “status” fields are empty. Through sees a deal without a source and cannot attach it to advertising. If this is the case for 30–40% of transactions, ROAS by channel becomes a fantasy. It is not treated with software - with mandatory fields in the CRM and the fact that the ROP checks the filling, and does not wave its hand.
Dirty UTMs. On some of the traffic, the labels are broken, on some there are none, on others there are Cyrillic characters and spaces that fall apart when glued together. The system receives garbage at the input and produces garbage at the output, only in a beautiful interface. Dirty UTMs kill end-to-end the quietest way - the numbers are there, they look plausible, but you can’t trust them.
Third, smaller: client_id does not reach the CRM because they forgot to put it in a hidden form field. Online applications then hang without reference to the visit. It is repaired once at the setup stage, but it is the last thing people remember.
9. What to fix before implementation
Before paying for any system, get four things in order. Otherwise, you will automate a mess and end up with an expensive dashboard mess.
| What to fix | How it should be | If not fixed |
|---|---|---|
| UTM schema | single template, Latin, no spaces, on all channels | the gluing on the source falls apart |
| CRM fields | source, amount, status - required for closing | deals without a source, ROAS lies |
| Goals in Metrica | configured, tested, send conversions to accounts | no event - nothing to attach to the deal |
| client_id in the form | thrown into a hidden field and reaches CRM | online applications without reference to a visit |
| Call tracking | single number with dynamic substitution | calls in the general heap without a source |
These five lines are a routine for one or two weeks before the start. Boring, ungrateful, and she is the one who decides whether the drive-through will start or become an expensive decoration. I always start it first, before talking about Roistat vs PostHog.
Conclusion
Choosing a system is about twenty percent of success. The remaining eighty are pure input data: UTM, CRM fields, goals, call tracking. If transactions are carried out by calls, start with Calltouch and do not overpay for full end-to-end. Performance on services and a box is needed - Roistat. A product with actions inside is PostHog. The budget is tight, but there is a person for support - self-assembly on n8n. And most importantly: full end-to-end advertising is supported with an advertising budget of 300–500K rubles per month. Below - call tracking plus UTM and goals close the task for a tenth of the money.
