Creator lead attribution: what the NEMIFIST case can show

Separate documented NEMIFIST results from attribution assumptions, then build a creator measurement sheet connecting tagged links, codes, inquiries, and qualification.

Article cover: Creator lead attribution: what the NEMIFIST case can show

1. What the case actually documents

NEMIFIST manufactures custom PCs. During the 2023–2024 project, I worked as Head of SMM across Telegram, YouTube, VK Ads, Senler, and creator partnerships. The portfolio records growth of the owned Telegram channel from zero to more than 50,000 subscribers. That figure belongs to the project period, not to a single placement or advertising message.

Individual placement records include three million impressions and 294,000 views for Booster, and 4.9 million video views for Dima Gordey. Separately, the case reports 1,022 Senler leads at RUB 12.56 each, with the résumé identified as the source of those figures. This is historical regional experience. The currencies and platforms remain unchanged; it is not a US campaign benchmark.

2. Why reach cannot establish lead attribution

A view, unique reach, contest entry, subscription, and lead describe different events. One person may watch repeatedly, enter on two platforms, and submit one inquiry. Adding YouTube views to unique Telegram users and calling the total people would be incorrect. A presentation of placement results does not automatically connect each contact to an individual creator.

I do not use the Senler cost as proof of any creator's cost per lead. That claim would require matching periods, allocated costs, and source records attached to inquiries. The available material also does not establish how many contacts qualified or purchased. The case documents project outcomes and operating choices, while causal relationships between separate headline numbers require additional evidence.

3. Prepare identifiers before publication

Assign an identifier to every placement, such as creator_01_video_a. Store the creator, platform, publication, date, cost, and destination. Prepare UTM parameters for website visits, a distinct code when appropriate for purchases, and supported entry identifiers for bot flows. Test the journey on a phone before sharing it with the creator. Source information can disappear between the landing page and form submission.

The UTM builder helps construct links and inspect their parameters. It does not automatically connect a CRM or measure creator-content views. Decide which field the inquiry saves, who verifies it, and how unknown sources are handled. A promo code can be forwarded to someone who never saw the original placement, so define its interpretation before reporting.

4. Reconcile events without double counting

Keep published content, visits, submitted forms, unique contacts, qualification, and sales as separate stages. Do not add them into a total conversions number without explanation. Match records with a lawful, reliable identifier rather than similar names. Two forms from one customer should not become two newly acquired buyers.

Preserve the initial source and later observations. A person may arrive through a creator, return through search, and use another placement's code. Select a reporting rule and show conflicting signals separately. Your analytics platform may apply a different attribution model, so reconcile definitions. GA4 offers distinct recommended events for new and qualified leads, but these require correct implementation; listing their names in a presentation does not create the data.

5. Price qualified outcomes using comparable costs

Illustrative USD example, unrelated to NEMIFIST: a placement costs $2,000 and production adds $400. It generates eighty unique inquiries, twenty of which meet a qualification definition agreed in advance. Using total costs of $2,400, cost per inquiry is $30 and cost per qualified inquiry is $120. Counting only the creator fee would change the cost basis and make a comparison with another fully costed campaign misleading.

Specify the observation window and account for returns when reporting sales. Compare equivalent funnel stages and expenses. A cheap contest contact may become an expensive qualified conversation. Yet the contest may have been designed for awareness or owned-audience growth, so avoid declaring failure against a different KPI invented after the campaign.

6. Write a conclusion the evidence supports

Separate observation, interpretation, and the next test. An observation might be a number of inquiries carrying a stored placement identifier. An interpretation might be that the creator's audience better matched the offer. The next test would repeat a comparable setup using the same qualification rules. A rise in branded searches near publication is informative, but alone it does not prove the creator's incremental contribution.

Estimating additional impact may require a control group or another suitable experiment design. Do not promise that conclusion from links and codes alone. The downloadable sheet captures spend, events, and limitations. Start with five placements and preserve supporting evidence. Historical experience is most useful when it makes the next campaign easier to evaluate, rather than turning past numbers into promises for a different business.

Frequently asked questions

Is RUB 12.56 the creator cost per lead?

The available source identifies it as the Senler funnel's lead cost. Attribution to all creators or a particular placement is not established, so the number is retained only in its documented context.

Does a UTM tag prove incremental revenue?

It helps identify a visit through a tagged link. Incrementality asks what would have happened without the placement, which requires more than a source parameter.
