Chat answers, agents act

Tuesday, 19:40 at Sáng Coffee. Seven posts are due this week on Facebook, TikTok and Zalo, and the launch post for the new drip bags goes to TikTok tonight at 20:00. You open your chat product and type: write a Facebook post about the new drip bags. Twenty seconds later you have a good paragraph.

Then you look at the calendar, the brand book, the photo folder and the Shopee inbox. The paragraph did not touch any of them. The week is still in front of you.

Think of two people you could give the same brief to. The first is a freelance copywriter you message on Zalo. You write, he writes back. Good text, fast, and that is all. He has no login to your calendar, he has never seen your photo folder, and he does not know what you posted yesterday unless you tell him.

The second is a new colleague with a desk in the studio: calendar open, brand book at hand, photo folder on screen. By brand book this course means the notes on how the brand speaks and looks, even if that is one page. She reads all three, drafts the post, schedules it, and asks you when something is unclear.

The chat window is the copywriter. An agent is the colleague with the desk: an AI assistant with tools and permission to act. The course uses a new colleague as its teaching analogy. Both rely on a model; the difference is which apps the assistant can use and what it is allowed to do.

Choose ChatGPT or Claude. Use Sáng Coffee as the sample business, or use a business you know and your usual language and channels. First ask: Write a Facebook post about our new drip bags. Keep it warm and direct, with no hype. Read the response: one message went in and a draft came back.

Now ask: Plan seven posts for this week using our usual channels. Check the content calendar, follow the brand guidelines, and schedule the posts. Ask me if anything is unclear.

Check what the chat actually accessed. If you have not connected or supplied the calendar and brand guidelines, it cannot check them. Does it ask for them, explain the limitation, or claim it did the work anyway? Write down what you observed.

Your result is a short comparison: what the chat drafted, what it actually accessed, and what it still needs from you. In the next lesson, you will watch an agent work through those steps in the practice studio.
